The Dutch born designer Edwin Oudshoorn (Lisse, 30 April 1980) is an artist who speaks the language of fashion. A craftsman in heart and soul who translates his love for life into multi faceted collections , with a recognisable signature.
With his many romantic designs, Oudshoorn tells his stories.
His designs have fairytale like floating silhouettes with thousands of sequins and swarovski crystals, individually sewn on to each mesmerizing piece, combined with skin coloured tule, hand dyed silk and wools.
Alongside various fashion shows in The Netherlands and Internationally, Edwin has also presented his collections in various museums, including four times in the Rijksmuseum, The Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Teylers Museum and Musee de la Vie Romantique in Paris during Couture Week.
Edwin Oudshoorn also designs for the theatre. In 2007 he designed the costumes for the opera Iphigenie and Aulide, performed by the Académie Royale de Musique La haye. His designs can also be seen in the enormously successful Soldaat van Oranje and in various Films and Television series.
Above all, Edwin enjoys to work one on one with his private clients. To find the story that they will tell and to translate this story into a one of a kind dress for them.
